UK Car Release Dates

In May 2010 Dodge announced that due to extremely low sales in the UK it has decided to pull from this market the Dodge Caliber and the Dodge Nitro. Then by October 2010 it is announced that the Dodge brand has been pulled out altogether from the UK. However Dodge has remained open in other European countries; as of now is unknown if it will remain open or start pulling out as from the UK market.

If you decide to import a 2011 Dodge Nitro there is one model available in three trims, the SE at a starting price of €31,945, the SXT with the 6-speed manual transmission at €34,748.00 and the R/T with the 5-speed automatic transmission at €36,075.00. There is only one engine available for the Nitro and it is the 2.8CRD 4cyl turbo diesel with a maximum output of 177CV @ 3800 rpm and torque at 460Nm @ 2000 rpm with the 5-speed automatic transmission and at 410Nm @ 2000 – 2800 rpm with the 6-speed manual transmission. The Nitro SE is available as a 4x2 or 4x4. The SXT and R/T are available as 4x4 only.

The SE is equipped with 16” aluminum alloy wheels, air conditioning, standard audio system with CD and MP3 connectors, tire pressure monitor, cruise control, ESP, ABS with BAS, TCS and ERW, front and side curtains airbags, independent front suspension and solid axle rear suspension, electric heated side mirrors. The SXT includes features as 17” aluminum alloy wheels, 6CD changer, parking sensors, leather steering wheel with audio controls, electric adjusted 6-position front seat, and full size spare tire.  The R/T features 20” chromed aluminum wheels, electric heated front seats, Bluetooth, dark gray leather interior with red stitching, sunroof.  Both the SXT and the R/T include the Infinity 9-speakers audio system with GPS navigation system.
