The ever popular Nissan Qashqai crossover upgrade is upon us and it will receive a slight facelift for the 2011 season. One of the main improvements will be the addition of the new Euro 5 compliant engines. The new engines will only output just over 140g/km and will be able to travel an extra 3.8mpg compared to the 2010 engines.
The 1.6 liter petrol engine will have an increased power output of 117bhp and up to 158Nm of torque, it will also come equipped with a Stop/Start System, which basically stops the car and puts it in neutral when the car comes to a halt.
All of the 1.5dCi engines on the Qashqai will have the new diesel particulate filter (DPF) in place. The 1.5 dCi’s will also benefit from an additional power output from 106bhp on the old model to to 110bhp .
Other improvements include:
- Nissan Connect (sat nav and audio system)
- Reversing camera
- Privacy glass
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- New silver and black trim finish
As ever there are many Nissan Qashqai accessories available to choose from to enhance the look of the Qashqai's exterior.
The 2011 Qashqai is priced from around £17k.
