The Porsche Cayenne is a five seat mid-size sport utility vehicle, introduced into the United States in 2003, since then it has become Porsche’s best-selling model. 

The 2011 model has been redesigned to improve its performance on and off road by increased power, a 400lb weight reduction, as well as a more sporty appearance. Giving buyers a more powerful SUV that is 23 percent more fuel efficient. Fuel economy improvements are considerable from last year’s 13/19-mpg rating to 16/24-mpg.  

The 2011 model is available in 4 trims; the base model starting price of $46,700, the “S” with a $63,700 price tag, the “S Hybrid”; expect to spend about $67,700, and the new “Turbo” will set you back $104,800. All models are all-wheel drive with a variety of options to choose from to satisfy any buyer. The base model comes with a 300hp/295lb-ft V6 engine standard with a 6 speed manual transmission or the optional 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the Cayenne S is equipped with a 400hp/369lb-ft V8 engine with the 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. If you want the Hybrid, it comes with a 380hp/325lb-ft V6 engine with the 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission; The Turbo is available with a 500hp/516lb-ft V8 engine with the 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, a top speed of 172 mph and 0-60 times of 4.4 sec.

The luxurious interior is impressive, resembling that of the Panamera sedan. The 8-way front power seats are standard, you can also choose the optional 14-way or 18-way sport seats, the rear seats (bench) slide 6 inches to accommodate tall passengers. The standard 10-speaker surround system is good, but if you want concert hall quality the Burmester package is for you, the BOSE surround package is another option available. Porsche provides an array of equipment as the CDR-31 audio system with 7-inch touchscreen color display, Power Moonroof, Servotronic, Bluetooth and a universal audio in (Aux/USB/iPod) are standard on the S, allowing the buyer to receive more for their money.
