The 2011 Kia Sportage has been completely redesigned, angular, with an aggressive appearance all changes lead by former Audi designer Peter Schreyer. It is longer, wider and lower than the previous year model; new engines that consume less fuel and emit less Co2 are sure to please today’s buyers. It is available with 4 engines, the 1.6lt with an OTR price of £16,645 and 1.7lt turbo diesel starting at £18,145 OTR. Following the usual trim levels, ‘2’ starts at £20,020 OTR and ‘3’ starts at £21,595 OTR. 2.0 t AWD models start at an OTR price of £20,800 with a top of the range 2.0 CRDi KX-3 Sat Nav AWD Automatic with an OTR price of £26,170. It comes with a KIA’s 7 year warranty. All models are available with a manual or automatic 6-speed transmission, except the 2.0lt petrol engine is available with the 5–speed manual transmission instead.
Options available are a fully integrated satellite navigation system, featuring a 7” full-map colour touchscreen integrated seamlessly into the central dash console providing access to a large selection of UK and European maps and Points-of-Interest. Inside the quality of materials has improved dramatically from the Kia's of old. The seats are comfortable on long distance journeys, the controls for the stereo and dual zone climate control are easy to operate and the dash layout's fresh and clean. The First Edition comes with aux-in, iPod, and USB slot for other MP3 players and there's built-in Bluetooth for hands free calling with voice command system. There's also a backup camera with a built in screen to the rear-view mirror that works wonderfully.
There is also a wide range of
sportage accessories available making the 2011 Kia Sportage an excellent choice for any 4x4 enthusiast.
