The new 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander is a fun and practical vehicle, it can seat up to 7 passengers or you can even fit two mountain bikes inside, yet is not a big SUV. Mitsubishi introduced for the first time to the UK market a 2WD diesel SUV to provide a more affordable vehicle; the AWD option is also available. The Outlander is over 95% recyclable, it is equipped with an eco-driving indicator and its roof is made of aluminium saving on weight which reflects on fuel savings.
A brand new engine has been introduced for the 2011 year model, the 2.2 MVEC clever clean diesel with variable valve technology, the first of its kind. This engine gives you more power, better fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. Engine performance rates at a maximum output of 174hp/280lb-ft of torque with fuel economy at 34.9mpg in urban mode and 50.4mpg in extra urban mode for a combined fuel economy of 43.5mpg. CO2 emissions are at 169 g/km.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander is available with a 6-speed manual transmission with TC-SST technology; the Twin-Clutch SST provides features of both the automatic and manual transmissions, it has steering-mounted paddles.
