2011 SsonYong Rodius S

20. May 2011

SsangYong is a Korean car manufacturer, founded in 1954. They have been manufacturing 4x4s for over 50 years now. In the early 1990s Mercedes Benz AG invested capital into the company and this relationship still exists today, as they supply parts for the Korean manufacturer. SsangYong is planning to introduce 20 new models to their line-up in the coming years; not all models will be available in the UK.

The seven seat Rodius can be compared in space and versatility to the Chrysler Grand Voyager or the Ford Galaxy, but there is no comparison on the prices, the SsonYong Rodius brings the features and benefits without a high price tag. It has plenty of room for all passengers to be relatively comfortable and with 875-litres of luggage space more than enough room to carry all the luggage or gear you need for a trip. Its seating layout instead of the usual 2-3-2 pattern is a 2-2-3 layout, allowing a gap in between the second seat row to allow easy access to the rear 3 seat bench.

On the 2011 SsonYong Rodius model line-up we have three to choose from, the 270 Diesel ES 2WD available with the 5-speed manual or the Mercedes Benz 5-speed T-Tronic Automatic transmissions with a fuel combined fuel consumption of 32.1 mpg and at a starting OTR of £18,100.00, the 270 Diesel EX 4WD available with the Mercedes Benz 5-speed T-Tronic Automatic transmission a combined fuel consumption of 29.1 mpg and starting at an OTR of £16,855.00, and the 270 Diesel S in 2WD only with an available with the 5-speed manual transmission, a combined fuel consumption of 28.8 mpg and a starting OTR of £12.277.00.

With the 2011 SsongYong Radius S you get Mercedes Benz technology, but you don’t have to pay the price of a Mercedes.
